### Position Overview
We are seeking a **Senior Kubernetes Engineer** to join our team. This hands-on technical role is responsible for designing, building, and operating Zelis’ Kubernetes platform(s). You will play a key role in our cloud modernization efforts and will need deep experience running Kubernetes in production environments.
### Key Responsibilities
- **Platform Ownership & Strategy**: Architect and operationalize a Kubernetes platform on AWS, supporting multi-account, multi-region deployments aligned with AWS Well-Architected principles.
- **Operational Responsibilities**: Manage lifecycle management, patching, and performance tuning of worker nodes, design and manage autoscaling groups, and architect secure and scalable VPCs.
- **Collaboration**: Partner closely with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver a secure, scalable, and reliable Kubernetes platform.
### Skills Required
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes in production
- Proficiency in AWS services, particularly EKS
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
This role may also offer a future path into people management for those interested, while remaining primarily technical.
